The house has been recently refreshed from top to bottom (May 2019) with two bedrooms (one queen, one king) and one bathroom, a jacuzzi tub and an outdoor patio & deck. It’s located just steps from Minnehaha Creek, a short walking distance to Lake Harriet, the Grand Rounds Trail System, and several local restaurants. The space As you enter the home (the top floor), you will find the light-filled dining room with a round table that seats four, and the living area to your right. The living area features modern furnishings, a ceiling fan, a large flat-screen TV and views of the trees surrounding the house from the many windows (hence the name “The Tree House!”). One bedroom is located on this level and has a new queen-sized bed (May 2019), closet, ceiling fan, and alarm clock. Bring your playlists Whatever I have is yours to enjoy.....the unfinished basement also has a washer and dryer should you need it. The only thing I ask is that you not use the fireplace. It’s a bit tricky. A iron and board are located in the East bedroom. The ironing board is to the left and the Iron is in the top left double doors. There is additional toilet paper in the hall cabinet as well as a hair dryer in one of the drawers. The Air conditioner can be set up remotely by me or by the panel to the left of the bathroom. If you text me what settings you would like I’d be happy to adjust them for you....or if you do change the temperature please make sure that the fan icon is on Auto and not left in the “On” position or it would run constantly. Please also make sure you pull the shower liner only into the tub to prevent flooding the floors. Anything else you can think of just text me @ 612 669 2513, my phone is always on me. The Chicago Bus sign has a automatic switch to turn the light on around 5:30 and off again around 11:00pm. It was just easier than constantly fumbling with the switch. You may also here a fan running in the basement during the day. This is for circulation and also shuts off automatically around 5 pm. It’s a old house built in 1923. I found the photo in the bathroom at the Hennepin County Historical Society. So far I’ve added new stucco, a new chimney, new windows on three sides and have plans for a 14 foot addition out the back which will include a new open kitchen, a new master bedroom and bath, a family room downstairs with a additional bedroom and bath.....I’m hoping if you enjoy your stay you’ll return to see all the new changes. Everything is just a blocks away.....shopping , Bistros , Independent Films, Bars , Groceries for preparing dinner at home. Help yourself to coffee by the drip machine in the kitchen or visit Caribou Coffee a block from the front door. Red Cow has amazing burgers as does Edina Grill , Salut and the iconic Art Deco Convention Grill, just blocks North of the house. For Home prepped meals shop at Lunds/ Byerlys or visit Linden Hills Co-op on Sunnyside and 44th. I love the Korean Meatball hoagies at Hello Pizza as well . 44th France Liquors has what you’d expect as well as amazing homemade brats and sausages for the grill.....pre cooked and ready to brown up. A car is beneficial if you want to drive around Minneapolis....but everything you could need is easily attainable by foot. If you do bring a car you are free to park it in the Church parking lot just North of the house. Plenty of lighting and very safe.

As a reminder, check-in is at 4pm the day of your reservation and check-out is at 10am. By booking with us, you agree that only guests included in your reservation are allowed on the property. Additional guests are only permitted with prior permission from the hosts. Additional guests that have been approved must vacate the premises by 10 pm. Please make sure only two cars are parked in the driveway and that they don't block the sidewalk. Please park any other cars on Xerxes Ave in front of the house (not on 38th). These rules are essential for our management of this home. Please help us show respect for our neighbors by keeping quiet between 10pm-7am. Thank you so much! We usually have guests coming and going on the same day, so we need to make sure the house is prepped for the next guests. If all guests and belongings are not out of the house by the agreed upon time, there will be a $500 fee. There is no smoking allowed in the house. Failure to comply with these rules may result in fines and possible eviction.
